"I did my regular service at Brighton for the first time. My car was not cleaned on collection when I was advised that the car would be cleaned in and out upon completion of the service. When I told them that the car hasn't been cleaned, all they said was 'come back next time'... I am guessing that they performed the normal services and regular checks so no comments on that but if you want to have your car serviced and cleaned, this is not the place. I normally go to Frankston or Mornington service centre and my experience for the last five years have been absolutely amazing."
"Have been a loyal customer of VW Brighton Service since we moved to south in 2019. Did all my regular services there even though they were relatively expensive compared to other service centers. In April, I got multiple calls from the service department to persuade me to have my major service done there. I accpeted their offer and paid more than $1400 to have the major service done within a day and expected that the car would be ‘good to go’ for at least a long period of time. The guy who looked after my service went through what they did for the major service briefly and reassure me that the car is all good. A month later, the engine oil light turned on so I drove it back. After lifting the car and an inspection, the workman of the day claimed that the leaking was caused by the worn-out engine oil cap. So I did exactly what they had instructed to order an new part and got it replaced. A few weeks later, I started to see big oil leakage on the ground of the garage. I then sent the car back again and they claimed that it’s a mistake made by the service guy who failed to put the oil leak information on the paperwork back in April. There is nothing to do with the cap which was contradicted with the workman’s assessment. Now they told me that more parts needed to be replaced and 15 hours work needed to done to fix the problem, which costs over $4200. I’m not sure if the damage would be minimized if they informed me this early. The poor communication and lack of professionalism from VW Brighton made me feel angry, frustrated and sad. They blamed all the faults to the service guy who has ‘already left the company’ according to their statement so they do not shoulder any responsibility. There is no official apology from the leadership. I just want to say I’m done with Volkswage and I’m done with VW Brighton. Hope whoever reads the review do not experience whatever I have gone through. Please provide proper trainings to your service people, workmen and mechanics, so they do not give your customers inconsistent and misleading reports."
"I live eight ks away from Brighton VW centre. The local VW mechanic wasn't taking an new customers so next choice Brighton. Met by Trinity at 8am. No-one should be as happy and cheerful as she was at that time of a cold morning. She was very welcoming and efficient. Just delightful. Told me she would ring me at 3. She SMS'd at 3.05.Car ready. Met Trinity again to pay the bill. She was still the same jovial efficient person explaining all services that had been for carried out + any future items when they came due. Bill much less than expected. Car spotlessly cleaned. Used train to travel home and back. 5 Stars. Alan Opie."
