"Booked car in for a service quoted $355 when I dropped car off they had added a few extras wihich I said wasn’t required. Was then called and told service was finished but car required ERG clean plus injector clean and brake glued change.I said if you can do it today do it got a call a couple of hours later said the car was ready to pick up $1223.50 anyway Paid and went home checked invoice when home checked washer bottle not full checked aircon filter debris in there checked engine air filter yes filthy o the apparently did my air con as well also charged me. now It doesn’t work that will cost apparently $920.52. Spoke to the service advisor and apparently engine air filter didn’t need replacing yet Ford recommends it in there manual page 44.had to walk away. Called another ford dealer who said my car required a new filter Absolutely will I never get a vehicle serviced there again 6 years of loyalty. In response to the reply. 1:The additional work was authorised by me, I do not recall authorising the air con service. $82.09 for aircon disinfectant! I was not offered a refund, just asked what out come i would like. 2: The service was done on 15/07/22, After the service was done on the 16/07/22 i sucked about a coffee cup of sand and leaves out of the engine filter housing which was apparently inspected I took the car back on the 18/07/22.the image was sent on the 20/7/22 at 9.01am, I was asked if i drive in dusty conditions then, not when the car was serviced. 3: I was not advised the module would be fitted for free, until 26/7/22 by Warren , and he told me that was only if i would change my review. I then called the service department and was told by the service manager that my car and myself where no longer welcome at the service center and to go else where. 4: If it was only about the windscreen washer bottle it would not be worth discussing. Check your invoice as well, on one occasion i was charged twice for oil. I brought this car from John Hughes Victoria park and it has been serviced by this ford service center only, At Forward st East Victoria park since new."
"I have changed my previous rating from one star to now 4 stars. This is only due to one of the people I have had dealings with at John Hughes service Dept. If I hadn't had this particular person Nick assist me in my issues I would have changed my rating to zero. Nick who is actually the service manager of a different area to my make and model car was incredibly helpful, thoughtful, understanding, fantastic with the communication via phone, email and in person, and the list goes on. Even though he took my initial phone call when I broke down because no one was answering the phones in the dept I was calling. Nick still assisted me from beginning to end. From initial phone call, to claiming me vehicle issue under warranty, communication with the car manufacturer, to handing my car to be totally fixed. I told Nick that if it wasn't for him, the service dept was going to get a huge compliment from the dealings I had with other people there. It is so hard, (I would say at one time before meeting Nick) if not impossible to come across any person you deal with in the automotive industry to have a good, honest experience with. These days all you hear is " sorry we can't fault the vehicle" or " there is nothing wrong with your vehicle, that's how they are" or " we've put it on the diagnostic tool ( computer) and it's not showing any fault" or " we have carried out the service for you, to find what the service invoice shows they have done, is actually not the case. Well Nick is definitely the exception to this and is a true gentleman and provides way beyond the level of customer service that you would expect to receive. Nick goes above and beyond this level of service. Everyone else I've had dealings with has a lot to learn from Nick to even get close to the standard level of service you expect. Well done Nick. If I looked up the definition of exceptional customer service in the dictionary, it would have a picture of you. I think Mr John Hughes should have you training staff how they should be. Again if my dealings here were just you alone Nick, the rating would be higher than 5 stars, but I can only come from negative 10 to plus 4 stars due to the damage done by previous staff. Cheers"
