"Great experience with Pedders Mascot. Needed shocks replaced on our family vehicle. Our local mechanic had quoted us a significant price to have the work done during a routine service a week earlier. Told the mechanic not to bother before phoning Bill who provided me with a more than competitive price over the phone. After taking the car into Pedders, Andrew and the workshop team competed the works and actually saved us even more by identifying components of the suspension system that were still in good working order and did not need to be replaced (i.e. bushes, mounts etc.). Honest, professional service at a fair price. Would definitely recommend"
"This was about 18 months ago. Spent nearly 2000 to 3000 with them for Brakes and Rotors FPV GT and also a lower control arm their recommendation. After the brakes were done a very noticeable wobble in the steering when travelling over 80- klms, (provided video evidence and left the car with the manager there to drive home to experience the wobble) which was advised to be the lower control arm. Replaced and still the same wobble. Then was charged for 3 hours (2 hours first time and another 1 hour second time) worth of labour at 160 to 180 per hour to fully check the car... the response nothing they could find, really you're suppose to be specialist. At that point when I questioned that labour charge I was treated and looked at like I was imagining it and that I was a fool...I took the car to another mechanic , within 5 minutes he said front wheel bearings. Replaced them that day and not a problem after that. Very disappointing customer care and after work support and go figure you are suppose to be suspension specialist no.1 in steering and brakes... No respect for people that take advantage of situations and treat people poorly. Will never go back or recommend."
